A paternity suit has been filed that claims basketball legend
Michael Jordan is the father of a 16-year-old teen.
Pamela Smith filed the lawsuit on February 6, according to TMZ, in
Fulton County, GA. She says that she became pregnant with Jordan’s baby in
1995.
Grant Pierce Jay Jordan Reynolds — Taj for short — was born in June 1996,
while Jordan was still married to Juanita Vanoy. Jordan and Jaunita’s third and
last child together, Jasmine, arrived four years prior in 1992. (The couple
divorced in 2006 after a reported $168 million settlement. Ouch!)
Pamela is open to a paternity test that she says will prove Jordan’s
the father of her son. She is asking for full custody, child support and for MJ
to cover the love child’s medical expenses. The kid wants to change his last
name to Jordan, too.
Sources claim Taj pleaded with his mother to file the paternity suit
so his “real dad” would be a bigger part of his life. He even made a YouTube
video last December saying so.
This isn’t the first paternity suit for Jordan. In 2006, Karla
Knafel took Jordan to court saying he was the father of her child and promised
her $5 million to keep quiet. A paternity test later proved the opposite. [VN]
