Canadian company writes FG over Amaechi’s jet – Investigation

The Canadian company which arranged how the Rivers State Government’s controversial Bombardier Global 6000 private jet was ferried into Nigeria last year has written to the Federal Government, explaining how the jet got to the country through Senegal, among other details.

The much talked about MTV concert is a few hours away and all the stars have arrived and ready to shut it down in Durban, South-Africa.The concert is slated to hold on 18th of May, 2013…… Stars lined up to perform include Snoop Lion, Fally Ipupa, Flavour, and D’banj.

Soldiers comb Boko Haram hideouts, kill 35



Troops yesterday used jets and attack helicopters to bombard Boko Haram Islamic camps in  Sambisa Game Reserve, in Borno State, which is one of their strongholds killing a number of  the insurgents. The Sambisa Camps are believed to be  harbouring their training and enrolment base.

President Goodluck Jonathan declares state of emergency in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa state



1.    It has become necessary for me to address you on the recent spate of terrorist activities and protracted security challenges in some parts of the country, particularly in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe, Bauchi, Kano, Plateau and most recently Bayelsa, Taraba, Benue and Nasarawa states.  These unfortunate events have led to needless loss of lives and property of many innocent Nigerians including members of our security forces.
