There has been some reports on the Sun website which has claimed Santos
star Neymar has put Chelsea on alert after he reportedly rejected a new
contract
Santos vice-president Odilio Rodrigues said: “We’ve spoken with Neymar’s father, who is also his agent.
“Our intention has been for him to stay beyond 2014. But he thinks his time at Santos and in Brazil is at an end.
“Now’s the time for the speculation to start and for offers to come in. If they arrive, both Neymar and ourselves will have decisions to make.” (The Sun)
Barcelona lead the chase for his signature, but Chelsea have the added advantage of having a whole host of Brazilians at the club already and they could still snap him up, if they miss out on number one target Radamel Falcao.
